The Problem With Complexity in Social Media

Do you think social media is inherently incompatible with complexity? In part, I think about how when one communicates on social platforms, to some extent, it's always for an audience. And so I think with this loss of privacy, we reduce our own complexity or replace vulnerability with defensiveness. But in its current form, something like Twitter or Instagram absolutely is anathema to complexity.
