The Humans and the Humans in the Savannah
The horse holds time for an hour and 15 minutes while the human is still running. The humans like nick have this sort of unfair advantage to catch up. In the end, when ran calculates the final scores for the humans and the horses, he subtracts the horse hold times from the human racer scores. So the human has to beat the time the horse would have run if it hadn't stopped.
