By definition the food that's given two and out by food banks tends to be ultra process foods. That then creates a double whammy where people on low income who are already priced out of a healthy diet tend to have less opportunity to get those healthy nutrients through a food bank parcel. "I'm not sure in the immediacy that there's much that can be done about that you can't kind of donate fruits and vegetables if they're not going to be given out often um or if they're going to kind of go off very quickly" says kimberly wilson.
