How to Build a Healthy Nervous System

The next principle that I want to share with you on building a healthy nervous system is that we want to step towards discomfort incrementally. So it is stretching the edges of what is comfortable and familiar to us while also doing that in a way that isn't going to trigger a really strong protective response from your system. If we do something so far outside of what is known and familiar and comfortable to us, then our system is going to launch into a protective response. That's not a problem, right? That's just your body keeping you safe.
