In liver disease, not being able to clear lactate because the liver isn't function properly. With accelerated glicolysis, there's an increased demand on the anarobic pathway. So therefore, you're having to produce an increased level of lactate. And if we remember back, piruvate was held in balance with lactate. So if you increase the pirevate levels, you get at increase the lactate levels. This is all feeding back very nicely into that path of physiology section,. That's almost like you got the correct pathways, isn't it?
