The Importance of Stability in Training
When we have a mental effort associated with the stability requirements, we're stabilizing ourselves. We're exerting mental effort to either coordinate movement or apply that stability. As a result, we're going to get to our maximum tolerable perception of effort earlier. It's inevitable result of using exercises that are less stable and harder to coordinate. And if we're training multiple muscles at the same time, we're not going to get the highest possible level of recruitment in that target muscle group.
