Dense: In light of civil disturbances we've seen this year in US cities, I want to recommend an article by Emily Badger and The New York Times about the roots of gentrification from areas that saw decline during the 1960s. Dense: Leah's work with Bioblots on the lasting imprint of LA's streetcar system on urban development within Los Angeles is one of my favorite things she has ever done. She also highlights two factors as really influencing the persistent effects of streetcars - land use regulations and agglomeration forces.
