The Somatic Experience of the Body
Find a really comfortable seated position to look away from the computer or phone. Give yourself permission to focus at first on something soothing in your environment. For some of us it might be the anywhere, the sensations of the eyes, the belly, the breathing and moving energy up and down the front of the torso. Once you find anything that's remotely pleasant in your body, you want to rest your attention on it. And make an intention to put aside any other thoughts that pop up - just promise them you'll attend to them later.
