The best you can hope for without compassion is staying at the baseline of whatever you're at. The book talks about Chris, Dr. Krista Neff's three ways to actually engage in self compassion. Compassion is extremely powerful and you can't heal without compassion. It was emotional accuracy that I was going for in the stories, not like a detailing of events that occurred.
