The FDA approval process in the early 80s was sketchy as fuck, but it's 40 years later and there's a lot of research on this. There wasn't the same sort of like self dealing and back scratching and revolving door shit going on in Europe or any of the other places that have approved it. So yeah, I mean, that that is both a very valid criticism of how our like legislative and like political processes and regulatory processes work,. But also isn't as much of a slam dunk as people might want to initially believe that it is because there's not the same collusion all the way down with every health agency that has evaluated it.
