It's built on top of Bevy. We have our own kind of meta engine, if you will, that's called Bones. On top of that, for certain special features, we needed determinism and rollback networking. It certainly took us a little longer than it would have otherwise. But what you get with something like Godot and established framework is you can get to a prototype a lot quicker.
