The Cost of Taxi Bots in the Aircraft Industry

The air-cive.net mailbag: Why haven't any airlines installed taxi bots to save fuel and make the workplace safer? Ben, my impression is that there are cost issues,. The added weight of carrying around an electric motor driving the nose wheel. And their skepticism that electric power can taxi a bigger plane. Maybe one airline, perhaps an innovative startup, needs to take the plunge with it.
