The Importance of Setting PRs
Calisthenics is a good replacement for just doing more deadlifts or good morning variations that can be globally taxing when done at a higher frequency. So I still keep in those back extensions in my routine even though I despise them. But the stimulus to fatigue is great. You can get the job done without going super heavy. Do I really need to have world record strength to accomplish that? No. If I can do three 1-1 pull-ups versus doing 10, is that a big difference? Is an extra 20 kilos on my dip worth the squeeze?
