Is Platonus' Theory of Evil a Clean Bill of Health?

Platonus' theory of matter and evil can explain how humans can be practically virtuous. But we can't give his theory a clean bill of health just yet, he writes. Matter is still the cause of human weakness, for a soul weakness is nothing but turning away from its true intelligible home. Platonus might compare it to the way light must eventually give out, leaving darkness where power of the light source can no longer reach.
