Taking a Moment to Notice When Your Mind Is Being Negative

Take a moment each day to practice and build a new habit of noticing when your mind is being negative. When faced with that negative reaction immediately shift your thoughts to a memory of something positive. If you can do this every day, if you can be very, very consistent whenever negative thoughts strike, you'll be setting yourself up to counteract the negativity bias we all experience at times.
