One of the takeaways that i got from reading your book was that i should schedule every doctor's appointment, every surgery, anything that i want o schedule, i should get that first appointment in the morning. Was that the proper thing to have learned? I actually think that's pretty good guidance. The evidence of changes in performance, especially in hospitals, in the afternoon, are terrifying. Anesthesia errors are four times more likely at three p m than at nine a m. Hand washing in hospitals deteriorates considerably the afternoon.
