CNN's Kat Kinsman talks about the push and pull of Hawaiian culture. Her grandmother lived in Japan when she was five to 22 years old, taught her how to eat Japanese food or practice calligraphy. She also learned hula as a little girl from her mom; they've both continued into adulthood.
