Yoga and Self-Massage - What I Love About Self-Massage
Yin yoga brings your nervous system back to kind of a more relaxed baseline because we could be within that fight or flight that sympathetic response. If I can rest like a yin yoga class where I'm focusing on breathing and those long-held stretches which also help to bring your entire nervous system into more of the rest and digest or the parasympathetic nervous system that's all great. What I love about self-massage is that's literally a switch a physiological switch you can make for your tissues as there are special receptors and nerve endings within your fascia that respond to that touch in a matter of minutes.
