In the late 90s and early 2000s, it was possible to open a restaurant in New York City as a 25-year-old. Now you can be the hottest restaurant in the city if your food is good. "Back then there were still some do's to pay," he says of his parents' silver garden business. He recalls cleaning out their refrigerators when they shut down after so much work.
