Meditation and Mindfulness Can Help Reduce Stress
mindfulness may protect from the negative effects of that stress is by decreasing rumination and in fact this has been shown studies have linked meditation to decreased rumination. This reduction in rumination is thought to be key in reducing chronic stress and reducing distress. Buddhist monks claim that during meditation love and compassion permeate the mind but I don't know if it's permeated the mind for me.
