Do the Ranking Systems Really Improve Patient Outcomes?
I think there's good evidence that they don't drive a dramatic improvement in patient outcomes. People have been pushing towards improving care for decades and millennia, probably. But i certainly don't think we've got it optimately done. So the old measures and many of the current measures are not only inequitable, but potentially equity reducing as opposed to being leveraged to improve equity.
