i feel fairly haunted by what we've been talking about here, and want to say that i, almost all of us know some kids of different ages. And it's just worth ask ourselves, is there a kid where something not entirely good is happening in the liveler? And without making it worse, is there anything you might be able to do to help? A lot of research on this shows that if a kid, even in a really crummy situation, has one person, or even a few interactions with adults who see the good in the kid, who affirm it, who in appropriate ways, acknowledge the crappiness of what the kid's got to deal with, and speaks up
