Hiring Good Designers

I feel the pain of hiring good designers. I'm a senior level guy, so i only want to work with sen senior level people. My process here is, like, find someone that looks good on the outside and put him in there for some projects. And he'll inspect every detail of it, checking pixles and checking gustino aesthetic in general. That's where the majority of them fall short.
