Is It the Core of Math Education?

There's a kind of normal algebra to preca sequence that runs through middle school, in high schol and yu can kind of subdivide further my calculus. But one of the questions is, like, why learn these things? What is the value? I think this, this is a more kind of theory oriented sequence. It's like, your trying to get the kind of conceptual foundations of math as you go on.
