The Importance of Medium Long Runs in Marathon Training

Getting in really good long runs is the most important thing for marathon training. I highly encourage you to do robust long runs. You know, I'm a fan of the 20, 20 mile run. But if you really want to take advantage and get and build full fitness, I think the unsung hero really of all training is the medium long run. It's an aerobic capacity building run at easy efforts during the middle of the week.
