Life can get in the way of the structure that often underlies a consistent cue. My husband has established his exercise cue as five 30 in the morning. It's a time when no one else is up, that he won't have any disruptions. He sleeps in his exercise clothes. I mean, that's how committed he is to not thinking his way to exercise. And it works for him. But most people's life contexts just don't permit that luxury.
