How to Start Slowly With Chronic Pain and Stiff Joints Due to Arthritis
It's best to start where you can do something comfortably and not wake up and pay for it, so to speak, the next day. Lower impact activities like swimming or stationary bike help develop muscle in our cardiovascular system without putting as much low in stress on our joints. If someone has a specific high impact activity goal, maybe that's coaching their kids soccer team or being involved with some sort of running group, it doesn't mean we can't work towards those things.
