Taking a Week Off From Training

Most people don't have a life style that is conducive to training all the time. I much prefer having kind of focus points in your training where there are kind of goals that you're trying to achieve within, say, maybe a four to six week window. A de load week is simply just a reduction in volume and intensity for about a week to let your body kind of sorb and catch up from last three weeks' stress. Finally, we have handling a week off from running mid plan due to vacation or life obligations.
