The Differences Between Hospitality and Casual Employee Benefits
Hospitality is a very labour-intensive model, and that's why we're seeing a lot of hospitality moved to very low labour-intensive table services dying. I don't pay above award, I pay the award, but I put value in, and it just depends on who it is. For example, my hedge chef, he gets above award and he gets a bonus and he gets incentives for hitting his target. And what I try to provide is a fulfilling and fun work environment that they can actually enjoy their job. So win-win doesn't necessarily mean paying more. It's just a fair agreement, you know, and the business only has certain resources.
