Air China Should Review Its English Language Training Program
The second officer had trouble on the radios, and many of his read backs were not correct. The jepson's instrument approach chart used by the captain of flight one, two, nine, who had no experience on the circling approach at this airport, had nothing wrong. Although it was incumbent on him as second officer, primarily to handle air traffic control munications, he did not advise the captain of any procedurea deviations, such as entering the clouds during the circling approach.
