How Do We Qualify for Assessment?

Think of assessment as a photo album, not a snapshot. If we want to see if kids know bassic facts about science, we can test them with objective tests. The teacher has to look at student work and judge against some criteria. We have judgment based scoring in the olympics for diving and for figure skating. So em, i'm not going to accept that it's objective, therefore we won't do it. Rather, let's do it in a way that is defensible and reasonable.
