The Over-Cautiousness of the FDA
There's a case to be made that we are over-cautious and under-regulate some areas. This phenomenon is very common, right? It happens even within one agency like the FDA in the US. I certainly think visibility is a big part of it. Terror safety is very visible when a plane crashes makes the news. Bio lab leaks are not very visible. Most people don't even know that they happen.
