The Effect of Speed on Vertical Jumping

The idea is that the muscles spindle. So if we go fast down, it's theoretically a harder stretch reflex. But what we found is that is true in highly trained athletes who have really good strength. The lower level athletes actually jump higher with less speed on the way down because they don't have the strength to get out of it. And so for the, especially if you're a lower level athlete, like you got to be doing these, it's basically startup high and then we're thinking about attacking the floor.
