The Importance of Water in the Brain

The blood-brain barrier, or BBB, acts as this express pathway for certain nutrients to get into the brain. Now stuff that's not supposed to be in there is getting in there. Without omega-3s, our brain cells are literally just at the mercy of degradation. People who had the lowest intake of DHA and EPA had the highest rate of brain shrinkage.
