The book is about the influence of peer groups on your learning. The author argues that people are biased, and we just have this natural tendency to process the world in a way that supports our priors. Even if i tell you that you're going to do these bias things, you'll still do them. In fact, there's a lot of evidence that says that smart people who know about them are actually worse,. because they're over confident tey're prone to taking risks that they shouldn't be taking.
I have wanted to do this interview for a long time. On this episode, I am thrilled to have Annie Duke, former professional poker player and author of the new book, Thinking in Bets: Making Smarter Decisions When You Don't Have All the Facts.
Annie has a very interesting background that makes her uniquely qualified to speak about high-level decision making.
