Truffle hunting has become something of a tourist attraction. A lot of these folks bury truffles in advance so that the tourists will be sure to find something and have a good day. The hunters don't really say that it's a simulated truffle hunt. They try to pretend it's real. But i, being a journalist, wanted the full the full deal. So i finally found a hunter who was willing to really take me out.
