Kettles: A Challenger Brand in the Food Industry
Kettles was a small little plucky challenger brand, much bigger now. It didn't do lots of advertising but what it did do was more sort of word of mouth PR type stuff. So they would do just things like kind of odd on pack promotions. My personal favorite was winner and uncomfortably long handshake. They also your winner tractor when in the ice sculpture of your grand. That was never any kind of big reach on these things, but it showed a brand that had a sort of twinkle in its eye.
