I find that if I allow myself into those hyper focused states I can then end up going for hours without a break and that's obviously really not good for me. Having the blocks in my diaries does help because it pings up and tells me and I've started using reminders on my phone recently actually to try and help me to breathe. If you've got excess energy and you can't put that anywhere when you're sat behind a desk all day you are going to be super distracted, she says. She also makes time every weekend to have nothing in her diary for a day now.
