I think part of what the appeal is for me is that there's less presupposed about what's going on with people. And it's more like here's a way to relate to yourself where maybe you can introspect correctly. People could also get false positives. If I'm working with someone or myself, I don't really have any opinion about whether this worked unless you go away and then it's different in which case it did.
