Exercising may slow down the loss of muscle fibers. You can't get back fibers that have died but if you have fibers that become denervated then maybe, maybe the whole exercise environment is more conducive to reinnervation rescuing some of these lost fibers. And we could see after eight weeks of exercise, there were some signs that this might be the case.
