"My dad has never laid a finger on any of us. Maybe an immigrant family where I'm coming from is very normal in that way," she writes. "I remember telling my friends when I was in elementary school, oh, I have this amazing dad." She says her parents' marriage wasn't perfect but they were proud of each other.
