In terms of cross training, I know a lot of athletes get on the elliptical when they're trying to save a little bit of pressure that they'd be putting on their joints with double runs and things like that. There's a lot of upper body strength that you need skiing. Top level of neural skiing is very arm dominant. And me as a runner, I never got my arms strong enough to really hang them. So obviously when I think of cycling as an alternative to running, the thing that puts me off there is just the amounts of miles.
