People tend to think that doing what they call mindless activity is bad. The narrative is we have to push ourselves to the level of exhaustion. I want to stress that humans are unique. We have individual differences. And it's very important for every individual to discover what their own personal rhythm of attentional resource use is. You might intuitively know it already but you could also find it out empirically by keeping track in a diary for yourself.
