Every nuclear reactor that we run in the world right now is essentially a design made with pencils and slide rules by genius engineers you know before we were born. The safety profile of these things has just improved incredibly. Now we have giant supercomputers. We can design modern safe reactors. So the terapower reactor for example can't melt down. And it actually enriches its own fuel inside of the reactor. All that is totally possible. Our ability to do advanced engineering has improved a lot in the last 60 years but unfortunately we're not working on it.
