How Do You Pace Yourself?
A, generally speaking, i like to lean on perceived effort when it comes to pacing things. A lot of times i'm trying to get the person or myself to target an intensity that they could sustain for roughly 12 minutes if they were to run 12 minutes as fast as they could. So whether they're doing 30 second intervals or four minute intervals, ther are going to be targeting that pace. The difference is always going to be the length of the interval and the length of recovery.
