If you don't care about the race enough you're never going to perform well right I remember like the mental piece of that as I remember not wanting to have to plan what I was going to eat at mile 80. A little bit more consistency walking or you know a couple miles a day even would have been a better approach almost two decades ago that I did the grand slam so it'd probably be a little different approach now. It's very helpful for my runners to encourage them to walk as much as possible pretty much on an easy day or a hard day I find it's very helpful but you're just talking a lot about having days where you know just purposefully keep to under a thousand steps
