How to Become a Better Service Provider
If you develop a tighter bond with that person, then they're probably more likely quicker to come to you for whatever service it is you provide or think of you. I think that you need to weave into the conversation things that are helpful, but that are also remind the person of what it is you do. If you prove that worth, if you prove that you're so useful, then that they're going to immediately think of you either they's going to think, wow, we should really hire this person.
