How to Stay Focused in High Stress Situations

The first thing that went through my head was wow I thought a gunshot would be a lot louder this close and then the second thing was all right make it like a game you're basically in a video game right now. That mindset helped me to stay calm and focused in in that situation. Our brains as an adaptation device have been developed mainly to protect us from fearful things so learning to control your own anxiety is what drives so much of human desire and behavior.
