Is the Fed Going to Tune Up for Three?

During the global financial crisis, 2008, 2009, it became very quickly, very clear the Fed couldn't do enough to dig the economy out of a hole. That's when prominent people like Olivier Bunchard suggested we raise the inflation target to three or four percent. Merce Cunningham: There's probably some evidence that 2% is too low of an inflation target. She says maintaining public confidence is going to be the real trick.
