Men's Behavior and Health During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Psychologists have been studying men's behavior and health during the COVID-19 pandemic. Men smoke more, drink more, take more risks, do not go to doctors often, they say. They found that masculinity played a role in men's unwillingness to engage in mitigation measures. Another factor is holding conspiratorial attitudes about the pandemic also moderated that relationship between masculinity and adherence to CDC practices.
